Communication

I'm often called upon to speak publicly about Automotive Electronics matters.   I've moderated panels or presented papers on various technology topics at Silicon Valley Auto Tech Council Meetings, SAE events, as well as for Telematics Update events in Silicon Valley and in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Show.

I've also assisted clients in presenting their technology solutions at industry events and trade shows.

In 2018 I presented a technical paper at the EDR Summit in Houston TX, an annual technical conference for forensic investigators.  The paper outlined using CDR captured throttle data to create representative throttle simulations based on that data. This can then be used to perform repeatable subject or exemplar vehicle testing with accurate recorded event data.

In legal matters, I've been deposed 14 times, testified at trial 4 times, and once before Special Masters.

I was called upon by PBS producers to assist in the production of a documentary on Autonomous vehicles and cybersecurity (see https://ww2.kqed.org/quest/2015/10/27/self-driving-cars-the-road-ahead/).

Multiple times each year, my car knowledge is put to the test as emcee/host/announcer at various Concours d' Elegance events, including Concorso Italiano, Point Alameda Concours, Coyote Creek Concours, Palo Alto Concours, Marin Sonoma Concours, Danville d'Elegance, Avila Beach Concours, San Luis Obispo Concours, and the Chateau Julien Ferrari Concours.
